Nevada Latino Arts and Culture invites you to experience Xantolo, a unique Día de los Muertos celebration rooted in the traditions of the Huasteca region of Mexico.
What is Xantolo?
Xantolo is a cultural tradition from the Huasteca region (including parts of Veracruz, Hidalgo, San Luis Potosí, and Tamaulipas) that takes place during Día de los Muertos. It is known for its colorful masks, music, dance, and community gatherings that honor and welcome the memory of loved ones who have passed. It is a joyful celebration of life, legacy, and connection across generations. Held in partnership with Gilcrease Nature Sanctuary, this evening event will feature traditional dance, storytelling, community altars, and local art—all set within a peaceful desert sanctuary environment.
